Hopelessness to New Life: How God Had a Special Plan for One Child

When it comes to life and death and the children we rescue, you are the difference.

It might sound extreme, but we experience that reality head-on.

In one case, we rescued a young child from a life of drugs, eventually dying alone, homeless, under a bridge.

It started with our current director of the Bolivia Life Center.

Sandra always had a heart for children and often volunteered at an outreach program to help homeless families under a bridge and on the street.

Years ago, there was one particular child she noticed.

He had gone through horrible experiences.

His parents were drug addicts, and he was exposed to abuse and neglect.

Sandra's heart broke at the time, and she did her best to care for his immediate needs, like food and aid.

But despite the hopelessness, God was rewriting his story. It would become a beautiful testimony of restoration.

Sandra always remembered the child and prayed for him during the several years that passed.

That is until everything changed.

She couldn't believe her eyes the first time she served at the Bolivia Life Center.

She saw an older boy that resembled the hopeless child she helped under the bridge.

It was him, grown and restored into a new person- one with a future full of love and opportunities.

While his parents succumbed to their addictions and passed away, his story dramatically changed.

If he followed their paths, he would have no future. But God restored him to a loving home.

The Lord broke a hold on his life that would change not only everything but also the trajectory of his children and grandchildren- breaking free from generational tragedies.

It's because of you that we can rewrite stories. One of abuse, neglect, and abandonment, to one of restoration, joy, and a bright future.

Our director saw this first hand. And we know you will continue to see the same as the years go on.
