We have already rescued 15 children in Honduras who are being cared for by a Honduran family at the HLC. Their home is now completed, and these children are officially moved into their new home receiving the love and support they fully deserve. While the second home is currently being constructed, this property is large enough for at least six children’s homes, where one day, we will have the opportunity to rescue over 100 children!
Who does the HLC benefit?
The children currently living at the HLC range in age from 5-18 but children of all ages will be cared for at the HLC. The HLC provides a consistent, reliable, and nurturing environment for children who have spent so much of their lives in fear. It gives them a chance to rest, to heal, and to start living as children again.
What can you expect as a short-term missionary?
Mission teams who travel to Honduras will have the privilege to be a part of the construction on the second home of the HLC. Teams will not only be participating in construction but will also spend quality time with the children who have already been rescued. Lastly, teams will participate in Sidewalk Sunday School outreach to hundreds of children in local villages and schools.
